Two special supplements of journals BMC Bioinformatics and BMC Genomics will be devoted to full versions of selected extended abstracts. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The 9th International Symposium on Bioinformatics Research and Applications (ISBRA 2013) will be held on May 20&ndash;22 at the <a href="http://www.uncc.edu/">University of North Carolina at Charlotte</a>. <p>Authors are invited to submit papers that present original research in all areas of bioinformatics and computational biology, including the development of experimental or commercial systems. The deadline for submitting extended abstracts (12 pages) is February 6. Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by February 27, with final versions due on March 8. The deadline for submitting short abstracts (4 pages) is April 1. Notification will occur by April 15, with final versions due on April 22.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A workshop on Computational Advances in Molecular Epidemiology (CAME 2011) will be organized in conjunction with the IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine (BIBM 2011) held in Atlanta, Georgia, USA on Nov. 12-15, 2011.  The workshop aims to accelerate progress in the field by bringing together field practitioners of molecular epidemiology, molecular evolutionists, population geneticists, medical researchers, bioinformaticians, statisticians and computer scientists interested in the latest developments in algorithms, mining, visualization, modeling, simulation and other methods of computational, statistical and mathematical analysis of genetic and molecular data in the epidemiological context.
